HEADFORT PTA

The Headfort School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) brings parents and school staff together to support the school community. Through fundraising, volunteering, practical projects and events, the PTA helps to enrich the experience of the children and foster a strong sense of community at Headfort.

THE PTA

The PTA is made up of elected parent representatives from across the school, with teachers also welcome as members. The committee works in close collaboration with the Head of School and teaching staff, with invitations extended to the Board of Trustees to attend meetings.

Parent representatives are elected at the beginning of each academic year. At the first meeting following the elections, the PTA elects its officers, including the Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and Communications Officer.

The PTA meets regularly throughout the school year to discuss initiatives, organise events and identify opportunities to support the school. Its work includes fundraising for school resources, providing practical assistance and creating opportunities for parents to contribute to school life.

Parent Representatives

Our parent representatives help connect families with the PTA, encourage involvement in school activities and bring forward general ideas and feedback from their year groups. They also help welcome new families into the Headfort community.

  • Junior / Senior Infants: Natalia McGinley

  • 1st / 2nd Class: Lisa Lynch

  • 3rd Class: Lauren Hudson

  • 4th Class: Karen Kerrigan

  • 5th Class: Aoife Macken and Imelda Cummins

  • 6th Class: Elizabeth Rozeboom

  • S1: Rebecca Guinness

Parents are warmly encouraged to get involved, whether by volunteering at an event, contributing an idea or supporting a fundraising initiative. Every contribution helps strengthen our school community.

The PTA discusses matters of general interest to parents and the school. Individual concerns relating to pupils or staff should be raised through the school’s established channels.
